Job summary

Thirty Madison Ventures seeks an HVAC Residential Service Technician to diagnose and repair a range of systems within Medina, OH. You’ll work a tight, process-driven schedule with base pay plus strong incentives and potential six-figure earnings in a thriving market.

You’ll handle 4–5 service calls daily, educate customers, and complete invoicing on an iPad. The role requires EPA certification, a clean license, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigeration certification is required.
• Valid, clean driver’s license.
• Strong knowledge of refrigerant cycles, electrical systems, and troubleshooting.
• Own basic hand tools; company provides specialty tools as needed.
• Strong verbal communication and professional customer-facing presentation.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems (split systems, heat pumps, ductless, geothermal, boilers, propane/natural gas).
• Run 4–5 service calls per day within local area.
• Follow a standardized company process for every interaction.
• Educate customers on system options and upgrades as opportunities arise.
• Complete invoicing and documentation via company-provided iPad; collect payments on-site.
• Participate in weekly training and role-play sessions to sharpen skills.

HVAC RESIDENTIAL SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Medina, Ohio

Our client runs a tight, process-driven operation with real earning potential: base pay plus performance incentives that regularly push top techs well past six figures. THE BASICS

Location: Medina, Ohio
Pay: $25–$40/hr base, plus monthly performance incentives and commission opportunities (top techs have earned $80+/hr in bonus on top of base in a strong month)
Service Area: ~1-hour radius of Medina
Schedule: Currently 5.5 days/week, including rotating Saturdays; company is evaluating a move to 4x10 schedules with 7-day coverage
On-Call: Daily rotation among techs; typically works out to about 1 day/week per tech

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems, including split systems, heat pumps, ductless, geothermal, boilers, and propane/natural gas equipment
• Run 4–5 service calls per day within the local service area
• Follow a standardized, company-trained process for every customer interaction — from initial phone contact through the visit
• Educate customers on system options and accessory upgrades (humidifiers, air scrubbers, hard start kits, etc.) as opportunities arise
• Complete invoicing and documentation via company-provided iPad
• Collect customer payments on-site
• Participate in weekly training and role-play sessions to sharpen technical and communication skills
