Job summary

The Lee Company is seeking a journeyman HVAC technician to perform residential maintenance and service in the Knoxville, TN area. You will install, repair, and maintain a variety of equipment including air conditioning, heating units, refrigeration, and heat pumps, while following safety and EPA guidelines.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of HVAC Install/Service experience, EPA certification, and a valid driver’s license; background check and drug test are required.

Qualifications

• HVAC equipment operation and troubleshooting
• Able to repair basic piping systems (copper/plastic/CS)
• Soldering and brazing knowledge
• Familiarity with duct systems and air quality equipment

Responsibilities

• Perform residential HVAC maintenance and service at journeyman level.
• Install, repair and maintain HVAC equipment including refrigeration, A/C, furnaces, heat pumps and related components.
• Operate safely and comply with EPA regulations and company policies

Summary of Job:

This position is responsible for performing residential HVAC maintenance and/or service at the journeyman level. Technician will be primarily responsible for performing installs, repairs and maintenance to a variety of equipment including: refrigeration, air conditioning, electric motors, heating units, heat pumps, compressors, furnaces, humidifiers.

Education and Experience:

• High School diploma or equivalent GED preferred
• 3-5 years of experience in a combination of HVAC Install/Service
• EPA Certification
• Able to pass a background screening and pre-employment drug test
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record

Skills and Abilities:

• Understands proper operation and troubleshooting of HVAC equipment and electronics of system
• Able to troubleshoot and repair basic piping systems, to include copper, plastic, and carbon steel
• Knowledge of soldering and brazing techniques
• Knowledge of duct systems and air quality equipment
