What You'll Do

As a Residential HVAC Service Technician, you'll travel to customers' homes to diagnose, repair, maintain, and optimize residential heating and cooling systems. You'll troubleshoot equipment issues, perform preventative maintenance, complete repairs, and restore comfort while ensuring every customer receives an exceptional service experience.

You'll explain your findings in a clear, professional manner, educate homeowners on repair and replacement options, and recommend maintenance solutions that improve system performance and reliability. You'll maintain accurate service documentation, keep your company vehicle organized and properly stocked, communicate with dispatch throughout the day, and represent Vailes Home Improvement Services with professionalism on every service call. Experienced technicians may also assist in mentoring newer team members by sharing technical knowledge and helping develop their diagnostic and customer service skills.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking experienced HVAC professionals with at least three years of residential HVAC service experience and a strong understanding of residential heating and cooling systems. Candidates should be confident diagnosing equipment failures, performing repairs, completing preventative maintenance, and communicating technical information effectively with homeowners.

A solid understanding of HVAC electrical and mechanical systems, airflow, refrigerant cycles, controls, and industry best practices is important. Experience reading wiring diagrams and equipment documentation is preferred. Technicians who are committed to continuing education and pursuing certifications such as NATE are encouraged to apply.

Successful candidates are dependable, organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple service calls while maintaining a high standard of workmanship and customer care. A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is required.
