Job summary

Edelman Heating, Cooling, Plumbing, Electric & Solar is seeking an Residential HVAC Service Technician in the Elkhorn area. The role offers strong earning potential, ongoing technical development, and the ability to dispatch directly from home.

You’ll work with a top-of-the-line take-home service vehicle and participate in weekly technical trainings, while diagnosing, servicing, and documenting residential HVAC systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years HVAC service experience preferred.
• Entry-level: 1 year HVAC experience may be considered.
• EPA Type II certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of starting.
• Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving history.
• Strong diagnostic abilities and professional customer communication.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot residential HVAC systems.
• Complete quality service work and reduce callbacks.
• Explain findings and options clearly to customers.
• Maintain accurate service documentation.
• Participate in weekly technical training.

Residential HVAC Service Technician

Hiring in:

• Champaign, IL

Pay: $20.00-$40.00 per hour, based on experience

Entry-Level: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Experienced: $26.00-$40.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, starting at 7:00 AM, plus a minimal rotating on-call schedule.

Performance Pay: In addition to base pay, average technicians earn approximately $2.00-$3.00 more per hour through performance incentives, with top technicians earning approximately $5.00 more per hour.
