Job summary

Jake’s Heating, Air & Plumbing in Indiana seeks an HVAC Install Manager to lead the residential install process, ensure on-time completion, and maintain strong customer communication. You’ll coordinate with sales and install teams, perform on-site quality checks, and monitor KPIs to drive efficiency and retention.

The role requires HVAC installation experience, proficiency with Excel/Word, and a detail-oriented, pressure‑tolerant mindset.

Qualifications

• Experience in HVAC installations or related field preferred (HVAC knowledge is a plus).
• Strong understanding of KPIs and how to use them to improve performance.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Excellent organization, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Professional under pressure and customer-focused.
• Self-motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented.
• Comfortable with occasional site visits to resolve technical or customer concerns.
• No company vehicle provided for this role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the residential install process from start to finish.
• Ensure a smooth, positive customer experience with proactive communication.
• Coordinate with sales and install teams to keep jobs on schedule and on spec.
• Conduct on-site visits when needed to confirm quality and installation standards.
• Track performance metrics (KPIs) daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Use spreadsheets to monitor install efficiency and provide insights.
• Manage ordering, staging, and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Ensure all documentation (warranty, rebate, financing, etc.) is accurate and submitted on time.
• Follow up with customers at seasonal check-ins, and at 1-year and 2-year mark to drive retention.
• Help the team meet our goal of completing 3 installs per day while maintaining quality.
