Job summary

Ability Matters is seeking a House Manager in Columbus, OH. This full-time role, Sunday-Thursday, 2nd shift, leads a team to provide safe, person-centered support in a home setting. You will coach staff, maintain quality, and build strong family and provider partnerships.

You will oversee daily operations, manage budgets, and ensure service plans are carried out with dignity and community inclusion, while meeting regulatory requirements and offering exceptional care.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills required
• Evening, weekend, and emergency availability
• Two years supporting individuals with developmental disabilities
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

Responsibilities

• Lead Residential Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operation of the home, ensuring services are safe, person-centered, and aligned with each individual's goals.
• Develop & Support Your Team: Coach, mentor, and supervise Direct Support Professionals while building a positive, accountable team culture.
• Ensure Quality: Monitor documentation, incidents, billing, and regulatory requirements.
• Champion Individual Success: Ensure Service Plans are implemented consistently while promoting independence, dignity, and community inclusion.
• Manage the Home: Oversee household budgets, maintenance, supplies, scheduling needs, and daily operations to create a safe, welcoming environment.
• Build Strong Partnerships: Collaborate with families, healthcare providers, support teams, and leadership to deliver person-centered services.
