Job summary

Unitus Family Services in Hampton, Virginia seeks a Residential House Manager to lead daily operations of a residential group home. This hands-on leadership role requires guiding staff, coordinating individuals’ needs, and ensuring that residents live safely, with dignity and independence.

As House Manager, you will supervise Direct Support Professionals, help with interviewing and scheduling, coordinate medical appointments, monitor medications, and maintain household supplies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience supporting individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities preferred.
• Residential group-home or supervisory experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Direct Support Professionals and assist with staff training.
• Coordinate medical, dental, behavioral health, and follow-up appointments.
• Create staff schedules and ensure coverage for shifts.
• Monitor staff attendance and training compliance.
• Maintain monthly meetings with the Program Director.
• Ensure health, safety, and personal choices of individuals are respected.
