Job summary

Wedgwood Christian Services seeks a Home Supervisor to manage a residential unit and supervise Youth Treatment Specialists. You will work with the Residential Clinician and cross-functional teams to ensure safe, therapeutic care and effective program operations.

Responsibilities include leading staff training, conducting performance evaluations, delegating tasks, maintaining policy standards, and representing the agency in community relations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field with a minimum of two years of youth treatment experience, or an Associate's degree with three years of youth treatment experience, or a High School diploma with four years of direct care experience
• Familiarity with residential treatment programming and the Youth Treatment Specialist role
• Prior leadership experience and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams preferred
• Agreement with Wedgwood Christian Services' mission and statements of faith

Job description

• The Home Supervisor manages the operations of the residential unit and supervising the Youth Treatment Specialist staff of an assigned program.
• Working in cooperation with the Residential Clinician, VP of Youth Development, Human Resources, the Wedgwood Institute, Associate Director of Residential Services, and other administrative personnel in the completion of assigned duties.
• Promote attendance at team meetings and participation from all team members in treatment discussions.
• Delegate tasks and assignments fairly and appropriately to assure the completion of all administrative responsibilities and the effective functioning of the residential unit;
• Provide leadership in the training and professional development of Youth Treatment Specialists/ Developmental Care Specialists;
• Oversee the ongoing training of the direct care staff;
• Plan and implement trainings to address ongoing training needs for staff.
• Use timely supervision, complete performance evaluations, and use appropriate discipline to hold staff accountable for meeting standards of behavior performance.
• Act as the agency representative in maintaining public relations, including contacts with the police, neighbors, churches, schools, and other community organizations.
• Participate in the development of policies and procedures for maintaining a safe and therapeutic milieu.
• Maintain regular communication with other administrative and program personnel.

Requirements

• A Bachelors degree in a related field from an accredited undergraduate college, and a minimum of two (2) years of competent Youth Treatment experience or- an Associates degree and a minimum of three (3) years of competent Youth Treatment experience or- a High School diploma and a minimum or four (4) Years of competent Direct Care experience
• Familiarity and identification with basic concepts of residential treatment programming and the role of the Youth Treatment Specialist.
• Prior experience providing leadership, and working with interdisciplinary teams preferred.
• Subscription to the Statement of Faith of Wedgwood Christian Services and agreement with the goal, purpose and objectives of the agency.
