Job summary

SERC-NAHRO is seeking a Site Laborer to help maintain our residential communities in Durham, NC. The role involves indoor/outdoor tasks, including groundskeeping, janitorial duties, and assisting with resident services and events to ensure a welcoming living environment.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and basic experience in maintenance or custodial work. A valid North Carolina driver’s license is required and the position may require occasional after-hours support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic experience in building maintenance, groundskeeping, custodial services, or general labor work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, appearance, and safety of properties and grounds.
• Remove litter, debris, and obstacles from common areas.
• Perform routine janitorial duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and cleaning facilities.
• Clean restrooms, kitchens, appliances, countertops, sinks, and windows.
• Empty trash and recycling throughout the property.
• Assist with appliance moving and installation as directed.
• Support with resident service requests and community events.
