Southern Home Services is seeking a Service Electrician/Generator Technician to manage electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs for residential systems, with emphasis on generator services. You will troubleshoot issues, diagnose problems, and deliver high-quality service while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications include 2+ years in a similar role, generator system experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid clean driving record.
• At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with generator systems.
• Extensive knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.
• Physical capability to perform the job duties and availability for overtime, including weekends, public holidays, and evenings.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Well-organized with strong task prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand and work with electricity, electrical systems, motor control systems, and process control instrumentation.
• Conduct maintenance, service, and repairs across plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing, and electrical systems.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring and equipment to ensure proper function and safety.
• Perform light maintenance tasks on electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC/R units.
• Support the repair and maintenance of manufacturing equipment, including hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• Inspect electrical systems and components to identify hazards or defects and ensure safety compliance.
• Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions, particularly in lighting circuits.
• Take on additional duties as assigned.
