Job summary

Carter Lumber is seeking a Framing Field Supervisor in Charlotte, NC to manage framing for single and multi-family homes according to blueprints and contracts. The role requires strong knowledge of building materials, adherence to local codes, and a commitment to customer service.

Responsibilities include reviewing documents, framing per plans, coordinating material deliveries, maintaining safety, and ensuring timely project completion.

Qualifications

• 3-4 yrs experience in residential or light commercial framing.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Strong knowledge of building materials and tools.
• Demonstrated work ethic and ability to meet time constraints.
• Strong math skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal directions; analyze and provide solutions.
• Familiarity with scheduling software such as Builder Trend, Build Pro, Supply Pro.

Responsibilities

• Analyze jobsite prior to starting to ensure quality construction.
• Review construction documents and determine material needs.
• Frame buildings according to blueprint.
• Maintain a safe work environment on site.
• Coordinate with the team to ensure material delivery and plans are shared with the labor broker.
• Schedule deliveries per the Construction Manager and ensure material arrival.
• Ensure framing complies with OSHA, Carter Lumber standards and safety rules.
• Ensure project is completed in a timely manner.
• Provide high quality workmanship to customers.
• Acquire training to build safely and become certified in installed products.
