Job summary

Aspire Communications is seeking a motivated fiber optic field technician to install and service residential fiber connections. You will work in the field, on site at customer locations, and travel as needed to complete installs and diagnostics using hand tools and standard test equipment.

You will terminate copper and fiber, set up test gear, interpret wiring diagrams, ensure NEC compliance, and document test results.

Qualifications

• Able to work on feet for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Experience installing fiber and copper cabling in residential settings.
• Knowledge of NEC and local building codes relevant to low voltage work.
• Must have a clean driving record and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Install fiber optic cable to connect customers to high-speed service.
• Complete fiber optic installation for residential customers.
• Travel to client sites to troubleshoot and diagnose telecom and data equipment.
• Terminate copper cables (Cat5e, Cat6) and install labels.
• Perform component and system testing and document results.
