Job summary

Chinatown Community Development Center is seeking a Maintenance Technician in San Francisco to perform maintenance repairs and custodial duties across plumbing, carpentry, electrical, painting, and more. You will work with on-site staff, residents, vendors, and contractors to keep housing units in good condition.

The role is full-time, nonexempt, with hours Monday–Friday 9:00–17:00 and on-call for emergencies. Compensation ranges with benefits as part of a comprehensive package.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of building maintenance and/or construction experience.
• Basic computer skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Meet with Supervisor or Property Manager to get work schedules and assignments.
• Assist Property Manager with purchase orders.
• Examine problems as outlined on work orders and assess/troubleshoot reported issues.
• Repair appliances such as washers, dryers, vacuum cleaners, stoves, refrigerators, HVAC.
