Zusammenfassung

PACE Energy and Environmental Services in the greater Los Angeles area is hiring for a Weatherization Program Technician to perform assessments, energy audits, and installation planning under LIHEAP and related programs.

You will follow TRM and Safety guidelines, coordinate with HVAC subcontractors, and educate clients on weatherization benefits while maintaining high safety and quality standards. This position may require after-hours or weekend work as needed.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or two years of experience in a similar field; an associate degree is preferred.
• At least two years' experience in assessment work in the construction/weatherization field.
• Experience in HVAC, plumbing and electrical work a must.
• Proficient in computer skills necessary to operate energy audit programs and other functions needed to perform the job.
• Ability to analyze field issues and complete mathematical calculations and other technical field reports;
• Ability to understand policies/procedures and standards required by funding source/s;
• Ability to perform Energy Audit (REM), Basic Weatherization, Combustion Appliance Safety, Shell Sealing and Duct Blaster Testing;
• Must pass Basic Weatherization, Combustion Appliance Safety, REM Energy Audit, Shell Sealing and Duct Blaster Training certificates;
• Pass all the required online trainings such as Worksite, Environmental Hazard and Lead-Safe Weatherization; Asbestos Training Class;
• Certified as an Assessor is a must
• Able to work in a high temperature environment and confined areas/spaces
• Must be physically fit to wear dust mask and or half mask respirators and other proper safety gear as required by PACE and Cal OSHA;
• Experience installing solar thermal and/or photovoltaic preferred;
• Ability to read, interpret, and prepare reports, correspondence, technical drawings, and diagrams.

Aufgaben

• Comply with safety procedures and guidelines per PACE and Cal OSHA.
• Complete building assessments/energy audits to determine weatherization feasibility.
• Ensure all feasible weatherization measures are assessed/installed per TRM and safety requirements.
• Recommend measures based on assessment protocols.
• Complete pre-CAS testing on gas appliances and post-repair testing after HVAC work.
• Perform duct leakage and shell leakage testing as required.
• Complete CSD-approved energy audits for single and multi-family dwellings.
• Coordinate with HVAC subcontractors when hazardous conditions are identified.
• Submit timely assessment, CASIF and required documents daily.
• Educate clients on benefits of weatherization and energy conservation.
