Job summary

HACAP is seeking a Weatherization Technician to perform weatherization services in eligible homes under the supervision of the Weatherization Support Supervisor. You will install materials, operate blower doors and insulation blowers, and use various tools while ensuring lead-safe work practices.

The role requires at least 6 months of hands-on weatherization or rehab experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of six (6) months of hands-on weatherization or housing rehabilitation experience.
• Good knowledge of safety practices regarding the proper use of power and/or hand tools.
• Demonstrated ability to perform carpentry and paint stabilization.
• Ability to understand and follow specification write-ups.

Responsibilities

• Perform weatherization services in homes and housing units under supervision.
• Install materials, operate blower doors and insulation blowers.
• Use hand and power tools and perform equipment maintenance.
• Follow lead-safe work practices and local codes.
• Assist with housing rehabilitation and paint stabilization tasks.
