Job summary

Resource Innovations is seeking a Residential Field Technician in Indiana to perform in-home energy audits, verify installed measures, and support QA/QC for HOMES/HEAR programs. You’ll inspect homes, document findings, and help drive corrective actions to ensure program integrity.

The role requires BPI/RESNET credentials or eligibility, 2+ years in field services or energy efficiency, and travel up to 75%. Strong communication and team skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold BPI Building Analyst or RESNET HERS Rater, or obtain within 60 days.
• 2+ years in field services/quality control or energy efficiency roles.
• Knowledge of building science and energy audits.
• Willingness to travel 25–75% and US citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential site visits to verify HVAC, insulation, windows, lighting, and building envelope.
• Use blower doors, combustion analyzers, and infrared cameras to assess energy performance.
• Collect and analyze utility data, home usage, and building specs.
• Input data into software and prioritize energy-saving recommendations.
• Conduct post-installation inspections and verify effectiveness of upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with standards and program requirements.
• Collaborate with contractors, utility reps, and program managers.
• Maintain accurate records and submit documentation promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.
