Job summary

Resource Innovations seeks a Residential Field Technician in Indiana to perform in-home energy audits and inspections, verifying HVAC, insulation, and building envelope. You will use diagnostic tools to assess energy performance and document findings for program compliance.

The role requires BPI/RESNET credentials or the ability to obtain them within 60 days, 2+ years in field services/QA, and a commitment to customer-focused service while supporting weatherization programs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in field services/QA/QC or related energy efficiency roles
• Certification as a BPI Building Analyst or RESNET HERS Rater, or ability to acquire within 60 days
• Knowledge of building science and related standards

Responsibilities

• Perform in-home audits and site inspections of HVAC, insulation, lighting, and building envelope.
• Use diagnostic tools (blower doors, combustion analyzers, infrared cameras) to assess energy performance.
• Document installed equipment and verify systems function as intended; photograph installations.
• Input data into software tools and prioritize energy-saving recommendations.
• Conduct post-installation inspections to verify upgrades and ensure program compliance.
• Collaborate with contractors, utility reps, and program managers; maintain accurate records.
