Job summary

Resource Innovations seeks a Residential Field Technician in Indiana to perform in-home energy audits and QA/QC inspections of installed energy-efficiency measures. You will inspect foundations, basements, crawlspaces, and mechanical systems, using tools like blower doors and infrared cameras to ensure proper installation and operation.

The ideal candidate has energy auditing or building science experience, strong communication skills, and willingness to travel up to 75%.

Qualifications

• Residential field technician with in-home energy audits experience.
• BPI certifications or equivalent preferred or obtainable within 60 days.
• Knowledge of building science and energy efficiency required.
• Ability to travel 25–75% and US citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential site visits to verify HVAC, insulation, windows, lighting and building envelope.
• Use diagnostic tools such as blower doors, combustion analyzers and infrared cameras.
• Collect and analyze utility data, homeowner usage patterns and building specifications.
• Input data into provided software and prioritize recommendations for energy-saving improvements.
• Perform post-installation inspections to verify completion and effectiveness of energy upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with applicable standards and program requirements.
• Collaborate with contractors, utility representatives, and program managers as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and submit documentation in a timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned.
