Job summary

RISERISE is seeking a Residential Energy Specialist to conduct scheduled home energy assessments for utilities and program sponsors. You will evaluate insulation, HVAC, lighting and moisture to identify energy-saving opportunities and present work plans to end-users.

The role includes on-site energy tests, installing efficiency measures, and using software to prepare assessment reports. Travel to homes is required; BPI certification is pursued within six months.

Qualifications

• Two years of residential construction or energy-efficiency experience.
• Strong analytical, drawing/drafting and math aptitude.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication.
• Sales or customer-facing experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel daily.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and access attics/basements.
• Able to pass background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Conduct residential energy audits covering insulation, HVAC, lighting, moisture and related factors.
• Perform on-site energy tests and install energy-saving measures.
• Use software to prepare on-site assessment reports.
• Explain measures, costs and savings to homeowners.
• Secure homeowner approval and coordinate rebates/financing options.
• Follow up to ensure high customer satisfaction.
• Pursue BPI Building Analyst certification within six months.
