Job summary

Lex Air Conditioning and Heating seeks a skilled Residential Electrical Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and install electrical systems in homes. You will communicate with customers, read blueprints, and ensure code compliance while delivering exceptional service.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of residential electrical experience and may hold a Wireman/Journeyman license. Strong problem-solving and time-management skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of residential electrical experience.
• Licensed Wireman or Journeyman Electrician preferred.
• Strong customer service and people skills.
• Experience in a residential service department.
• Electrical apprenticeship completion preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and safety protocols.
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage time.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical service calls, troubleshooting and repairing issues in residential homes.
• Install, maintain, and upgrade wiring, outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures.
• Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes.
• Provide clear customer service and communicate with clients regarding needs and solutions.
• Conduct inspections and assessments to identify issues and ensure safety.
• Maintain accurate records of work, materials used, and time spent on each job.
• Collaborate with other technicians to ensure efficient job completion.
• Stay up-to-date with industry standards, trends, and safety practices.
