Job summary

Sierra Air is seeking an Electrical Operations Manager to lead our residential electrical service and installation operations in Carson City, NV. The role focuses on building a high-performing team, ensuring NEC compliance, and driving profitability through safety, quality workmanship, and superior customer experience.

The manager will oversee recruitment, training, budgeting, KPI tracking, and collaboration with sales, dispatch, and service teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of residential electrical experience with progressive leadership responsibilities.
• Proven success leading, growing, and developing electrical teams.
• Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems, troubleshooting, installations, and NEC.
• Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician license (preferred or as required).
• Business acumen with budgets, profitability, KPIs, and performance.
• Leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Scheduling, workforce planning, and operations management.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical documentation.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of electricians and apprentices.
• Establish a culture of accountability, safety, professionalism, and customer service.
• Oversee day-to-day electrical operations including service, repair, and installation projects.
• Ensure work complies with local/state/National Electrical Code requirements.
• Conduct field inspections and quality assurance reviews.
• Provide technical guidance for complex electrical diagnostics and installations.
• Develop departmental goals, budgets, staffing plans, and growth strategies.
• Monitor KPIs, labor productivity, revenue, gross margin, and profitability.
• Optimize scheduling, workforce planning, and resource allocation.
• Collaborate with sales, dispatch, and customer service for seamless operations.
• Support estimating, job scoping, and proposal development for larger projects.
• Drive continuous improvement to increase efficiency and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with policies, safety regulations, licensing, and industry best practices.
