Job Summary

Bay-CSS is looking for a dedicated Residential Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team in Waldorf, MD. This role involves supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting during the following schedule: Tuesdays to Thursdays and Saturday from 2pm to 10pm, and Sundays from 8am to 2pm.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and car insurance
• Must pass a background check
• Ability to lift at least 50lbs
• Completion of all required trainings within the allotted timeframe
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and follow directions
• Compassionate and patient demeanor

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily tasks including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and household chores
• Provide emotional support and encouragement to individuals in the program
• Implement individualized care plans and behavior support strategies
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment
• Document and report any significant changes or incidents to supervisors

Compensation

• Hourly rate: $21/hr Monday to Friday, with a $2 shift differential on Saturdays and Sundays
