Job summary

The Arc of Greater Prince William / INSIGHT, Inc. in Dumfries, VA is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our Residential Services team at a group home in Woodbridge, Virginia. You will provide direct care to adults with developmental disabilities in a supportive home environment.

Under supervision, DSPs assist with daily living, promote independence, maintain safety, administer medications when trained, and document progress in THERAP. Starting pay is $17/hour with full-time 40 hours.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or related human services is preferred.
• Ability to pass criminal background checks and health screenings.
• CPR/First Aid/AED/MAT training may be required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to use electronic documentation systems (THERAP).

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered, direct care based on ISP goals.
• Assist with activities of daily living and personal care.
• Promote independence and community involvement.
• Provide safe transportation to programs and appointments.
• Plan and participate in recreational and skill-building activities.
• Accurately document progress and maintain privacy and rights.
