Job summary

Bay-CSS in Waldorf, MD seeks a dedicated Residential Direct Support Professional to assist residents with daily tasks in a supportive residential setting. Schedule Tue-Thu 2pm–10pm and Sun 8am–2pm, with eligibility for a weekend differential.

You will provide emotional support, help with meals, personal care, and house chores, while following individualized care plans and reporting changes to supervisors. Applicants should have a high school diploma and be able to lift 50 lbs; background checks

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred.
Valid driver's license with reliable transportation and car insurance.
Must pass a background check.
Ability to lift at least 50lbs.
Completion of all required trainings within the allotted timeframe.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and follow directions.
Compassionate and patient demeanor.

Responsibilities

Assist residents with daily tasks including meal preparation, personal hygiene, and household chores.
Provide emotional support and encouragement to individuals in the program; implement individualized care plans and behavior support strategies.
Maintain a clean and safe living environment.
Document and report any significant changes or incidents to supervisors.
