Job summary

Liberty Waste Solutions, LLC is seeking a Residential Driver to join our team in Raleigh. You will operate a rear-load waste collection vehicle on designated routes, ensuring safe handling of waste and recyclables and proper log/reporting to dispatch.

The ideal candidate holds a valid Class B CDL with a clean driving record, can work overtime on the 1st shift, and demonstrates strong safety awareness, physical stamina, and clear communication with customers and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL with a clean driving record.
• CDL with waste management experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of local geography and road networks.
• Understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
• Ability to operate a waste collection vehicle and its controls.
• Good communication with dispatch, customers, and teammates.
• Physical stamina to handle job demands, including lifting.
• Able to sit in truck cab and assist driver’s helper when needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate a residential rear end loader on assigned routes.
• Log and report information to dispatch using electronic devices.
• Communicate with dispatch personnel and drivers.
• Report delays, breakdowns, and container issues to management.
• Keep truck and equipment clean, safe, and in good working order.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and safety checks.

Liberty Waste Solutions is looking for a dedicated Residential Collection Driver - (Rear Load) to join our team and deliver exceptional waste disposal and recycling services in the Wilmington area!

As a Residential Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection of waste and recyclables from residential neighborhoods. Transport the contents to a facility for processing, and be committed to safety, attention to detail, and take pride in the job you will perform.

• You will operate a residential rear end loader truck along assigned routes to customers and disposal sites
• Use electronic devices to log / report information to the dispatch team, or a supervisor
• Communicate with dispatch personnel
• Report any delays or breakdowns to the dispatch / management team
• Report all container related issues and needs to dispatch and management
• Keep truck and associated equipment, clean, safe and in good working order
• Perform truck inspections (pre and post trip)
• Safely collect residential waste / recyclable materials from designated locations
• Safely operate all vehicle controls for lifting and loading
• Follow all applicable traffic laws and regulations
• Ensure that all required personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Pay: $24-$27/hr

Minimum requirements we look for:

• Valid Class “B” Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record (preferred)
• A CDL driver with waste management industry is a plus
• Knowledge of local geography and road networks, although not required
• An understanding of safety regulations and procedures
• Ability to operate a waste collection vehicle and its controls
• Good communication
• Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting and operating equipment
• Perform in all weather conditions to meet / exceed customer expectations
• Must be able to safely lift and move 50lbs or more at a time as you assist the helper assigned to the truck
• Able to sit in truck cab for extended periods of time
• Able to get out and help the driver's assistant when needed
