Job summary

JRI in Thompson, CT is seeking a Residential Director to oversee the Residential Department and lead clinical and educational services for youth with emotional and behavioral challenges. The role supports the growth of the center's programs and requires strong leadership in a residential setting.

Salary ranges from $60,000 to $77,000 per year, with overtime considerations and potential for additional benefits as part of our comprehensive compensation package.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Maintains valid driver’s license as transporting clients is required.
• On-call responsibilities, at times you will be required to work overtime.
• Background and driving record checks will be performed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Residential Department with Senior staff and provide care and treatment to clients.
• Ensure residential systems are followed and provide on-call coverage.
• Lead scheduling procedures and ensure staffing ratios are maintained; enforce discipline as needed.
• Lead residential meetings and trainings, and run shifts when needed.

The Susan Wayne Center is seeking a Residential Director to effectively support the development and growth of young adults who have experienced significant emotional challenges.

The Susan Wayne Center of Excellence (SWCE) and the River Run Academy offer intensive residential, educational, medical, and clinical services for adolescent boys and girls who are mild to moderately cognitively impaired with concurrent behavioral, mental health, and medical issues. Located in rural Thompson, Connecticut, our state-of-the-art campus offers warm, home-like facilities in a pastoral setting.

Our students have often experienced complex trauma and often have not been successful in other settings. SWCE students typically require additional support in the classroom, as well as with emotional and behavioral difficulties, executive functioning, and life skills.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $60,000 to $77,000per year. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.

Due to the nature of our work and the youth who are depending on us, there are times where overtime may be mandated.

• YOU will be able to oversight of the Residential Department with the Senior Residential Department members and provide care and treatment of our clients.
• YOU will be able to ensure all Residential systems are being followed and completed on a daily basis and provide on call coverage.
• YOU will be able to provide constant oversight of scheduling procedures; staffing ratios are being met at all times and provide accountability and disciplinary action decisions as needed for all Residential Staff.
• YOU will be able to lead residential meetings andtrainings, andrunsresidential shifts when needed.

Requirements:
