Centerpoint is a 16-bed Intensive Residential Treatment Program (IRTP) for emotionally disturbed adolescent males. The primary mission of Centerpoint is the treatment and rehabilitation of adolescent males with mental illness and challenging behaviors. Centerpoint provides a secure, clinically intensive residential program that enhances growth and coping skills. The program’s ultimate goal is to enable each resident to attain optimal psychological and social growth; to transition to a less restrictive setting and eventually into the greater community.
The ideal candidate will love working with adolescents, be energetic, positive, disciplined, have excellent boundaries and will thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a Residential Counselor, you will take pride in working with a team who strives to make every day a little bit better for a group of adolescents while ensuring the safety and well‑being of residents and staff.
Compensation
The pay range for this position is $19.00 to $25.00 per hour. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.
Due to the nature of our work and the youth who are depending on us, there are times where overtime may be mandated.
JRI Provides The Training So That:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred; High School Diploma required.
Residential program or mental health program experience preferred; experience working with specialized populations of adolescents preferred.
Able to work independently while under the guidance of a supervisor.
Maintains valid driver’s license as transporting residents is required.
