Job description

Berkshire Meadows is looking for a Residential Director to join their team! Berkshire Meadows is a residential facility, group home, day habilitation and school for residents with complex medical, intellectual and developmental differences.

In this position, you will be a critical part of the administrative team. The Residential Director will directly supervise a team of direct care staff, program managers and other related team members. The Residential Director will be responsible for the residential care and treatment of the group homes, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and internal requirements and client engagement.

Schedule: You will work a varied schedule to assure that optimal services, programming, and supervision of the residential programs is occurring during all shifts each day. At times, you may need to support a program more extensively in the event of a shift not having coverage, including providing on-call availability as needed.

Due to the nature of our work and the youth who are depending on us, there are times where overtime may be mandated.

JRI Provides The Training So That:

  • YOU will oversee the Residential Department alongside members of the Senior Residential Department to provide care and treatment to the individuals we serve.
  • YOU will ensure all residential systems are being followed and completed on a daily basis.
  • YOU will lead residential meetings and trainings for direct care staff.
  • YOU will provide supervision, support and training to program managers to ensure compliance with such trainings.
  • YOU will provide oversight of staff recruitment, hiring, orientation and training to ensure staffing ratios are being met at all times.
  • YOU will plan and schedule out staff work schedules to ensure each shift is covered effectively.
  • YOU will provide disciplinary actions for all residential staff as needed.
  • YOU will have extensive involvement with reporting, oversight of documentation and other regulatory compliance.
  • YOU will be involved in treatment planning, behavior management, therapeutic recreational programming, developing and improving a therapeutic community.
  • YOU will help maintain a safe and clean living environment for the individuals we serve.

Requirements:

  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field.
  • 2-5 years of supervising experience in a residential program or mental health facility.
  • Must have excellent leadership and management skills.
  • Must be able to work effectively with an interdisciplinary administrative and treatment teams.
  • Maintains valid driver’s license as transporting students is required.
