Job summary

Edwards Center Inc is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide respectful, hands-on support in residential homes and community settings for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will help with daily living skills, personal goals, and safety plans while promoting independence, dignity, and belonging.

You’ll document accurately for the support team and use basic computer systems for logs and communication.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to pass required background checks.
• Valid Oregon driver’s license with 3+ years driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide respectful, person-centered support with activities of daily living, skill development, recreation, and community involvement.
• Assist with medication administration, health-related documentation, and following physician or nursing orders after training.
• Recognize changes in health, behavior, or safety and respond calmly and promptly.
• Help maintain clean, organized, and safe home environments.
• Communicate with participants, coworkers, families, and community partners clearly and professionally.
