Job summary

Benhaven, Inc. in North Haven, CT is seeking dedicated Direct Support Professionals to join our Residential Division.

You will work with adults with developmental disabilities and autism in a residential setting to assist with daily living activities and support independent living. Responsibilities include implementing individualized plans, promoting safety, and engaging clients in social and community activities, with varied shifts listed in the ad.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities/autism preferred.
• Ability to pass a criminal & driver’s background check.
• CT driver’s license, registration, and auto insurance preferred.
• CPR/PMT and DDS Med training provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support in a residential setting.
• Assist with activities of daily living (hygiene, meals, chores).
• Implement individualized support plans under supervision.
• Ensure safety and well-being at all times.
• Encourage participation in social, recreational, and community activities.
• Document progress and incidents in files.
• Communicate with individuals, families, and staff.
