Job summary

Penn State University’s Residential Dining department is seeking an Intermediate Customer Support specialist to oversee cashiering operations, assist with staff scheduling, manage bi-weekly timekeeping, and uphold university standards for safety and service.

You will mentor cashier staff, coordinate training, and serve as a liaison between staff and management, especially during academic calendar breaks, while supporting events and department initiatives.

Qualifications

• GED or HS diploma required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cashiering operations and daily customer service standards.
• Assist with interviewing, hiring, and scheduling cashier staff; mentor junior team members.
• Manage timekeeping and ensure bi-weekly payroll deadlines are met.
• Organize and deliver staff training on university policies and safety guidelines.
