Job summary

HDR Remodeling Inc. is a full-service Design-Build firm in the East Bay. We seek a full-time Designer who guides projects from concept through signed construction agreements, delivering innovative residential design and strong client communication.

You’ll collaborate with Design Manager, Estimation, and Production teams to meet aesthetic, functional, and budget goals; leverage CAD and design standards to drive project success.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of design-build experience in high-end residential design.
• Bachelor's degree in design or architecture required.
• Design software: highly proficient with CAD; AutoCAD LT is preferred as primary tool.
• Office software: Google Workspace, MS Excel, Word, DocuSign, Adobe Acrobat.

Responsibilities

• Lead design concepts and development from concept through signed construction agreements.
• Draft accurate plans, elevations and construction drawings.
• Maintain client files, plans, specifications, and design library.
• Coordinate with Design Manager, architectural designer, and production team.
• Prepare design calendars, milestones and key decision timelines.
• Ensure plans comply with CA Building Codes and Title 24.
