David Weekley Homes in Phoenix is seeking an experienced Design City Coordinator to lead the development and coordination of residential plans and construction drawings. The role ensures alignment with municipal codes, community standards, and developer guidelines throughout the development process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or related field preferred; or an applied technical degree in architectural design.
• Four or more years of experience working with construction documents and plans.
• Residential design experience and strong knowledge of residential construction drawings required.
• Two or more years of management experience preferred, but not required.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit preferred, but not required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and Customer Service skills, with tact and professionalism to work with internal and external customers.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with ability to prioritize multiple projects in deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly team huddles, coordinate workloads, and hold team members accountable for results.
• Serve as a key contact for division and project teams, providing updates during weekly market meetings.
• Lead market-specific product development meetings and walks.
• Ensure architectural plans comply with municipal codes, permitting requirements, and developer guidelines.
• Serve as quality-control checkpoint for new plans, elevations, and revisions.
• Collaborate with draftspersons to develop address-specific plans for single-family and multi-family projects.
• Partner with Design Production Manager to manage workflow, priorities, and deadlines.
• Facilitate problem-solving and collaboration among team members.
• Meet established monthly and quarterly department performance goals.
