Job summary

David Weekley Homes seeks qualified residential designers to join our Architectural Design team in Houston. You will develop single-family and multi-family plans for markets across the U.S., ensuring designs meet codes and permitting requirements.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is required, and an Architecture or related degree with 4+ years of residential experience is preferred. Strong teamwork, time management and detail orientation are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Environmental Design, Engineering, or closely related field.
• 4+ years of working knowledge of residential plans and construction drawings
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit required
• Strong teamwork, time management, problem-solving, and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Development of single-family and multi-family architectural plans for various cities
• Ensures plans comply with codes and permitting requirements
• Revise plans and coordinate all sheets affected by changes
• Develop details per drawing specifics
• Ensures deadlines are met
• Facilitates problem-solving with team members and city coordinators/managers
