Stevens Treatment Programs is seeking a Relief / Per Diem Residential Counselor to provide a steady, reliable presence for adolescents facing behavioral and mental health challenges in a trauma-informed residential and educational setting.
You will mentor youth, collaborate with clinicians and teachers, support daily routines, crisis response, and documentation, and participate in monthly training; relief shifts are flexible with no mandated or forced shifts.
At Stevens Treatment Programs, we support adolescents navigating complex behavioral and mental health challenges—often rooted in trauma and adverse life experiences. Through a structured, trauma-informed residential and educational environment, we help young people build stability, resilience, and the skills they need to move forward with confidence.
As a Relief / Per Diem Residential Counselor, you are a steady, reliable presence in a young person’s life. You’ll mentor, guide, and support youth through daily routines, challenges, and milestones—helping them build trust, confidence, and coping skills that last far beyond their time in our care. You’ll work alongside clinicians and educators to support individualized treatment plans in meaningful, practical ways.
This is a flexible, as-needed position. There are NO mandated or forced shifts.
Relief staff are required to participate in one monthly training, held virtually on the first Wednesday of each month.
Training is an important part of maintaining active status and ensuring all relief staff are prepared to safely and effectively support youth.
Because this work matters. Because consistency changes lives. Because the right support at the right time can alter a young person’s future.
Stevens Treatment Programs is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful environment for all staff and youth. Applicants of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
