Job summary

Walnut Street Center Inc. is hiring Residential Counselors for a brand-new residential program in Waltham, MA. You will work with adults with intellectual disabilities to support daily living, social engagement, and goal attainment in a structured setting.

Responsibilities include developing individualized goals, providing therapeutic support, administering medications, and transporting clients as needed. A strong preference is shown for candidates with MAP certification and prior human services

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive.
• MAP certification.
• Ability to pass a driving and background check.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to complete training both online and in-person.
• Previous human services or long-term care experience is strongly preferred.
• CNA/HHA experience preferred.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.

• Participate in development, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of each individual's goals.
• Provide therapeutic support and assist in Behavior Support Plans, if appropriate.
• Transport individuals.
• Medication Administration.
• Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living such as feeding, dressing, toileting, and other aspects of personal care, and nutritional needs.

Sunday-Thursday 3:00pm-11:00pm

Tuesday-Saturday 3:00pm-11:00pm

Saturday & Sunday 9:00am-3:00pm or 9:00am-11:00pm

This role is interesting because you will:
