Walnut Street Center seeks a Residential Counselor (Direct Support Professional) in Waltham, MA. The role supports adults with intellectual disabilities in a brand-new residential program, including daily living activities, medication administration, and community transportation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive.
• Have a valid MAP certification.

• Previous human services or long-term care experience preferred.
• CNA/HHA experience preferred.
• Bachelor's or associate degree in related field preferred.

Sunday-Thursday 3:00pm-11:00pm

Tuesday-Saturday 3:00pm-11:00pm

Saturday & Sunday 9:00am-3:00pm or 9:00am-11:00pm

WSC is actively seeking Residential Counselors to help empower adults with intellectual disabilities to make more meaningful life choices by working directly with those individuals in a brand-new residential program.

This role is interesting because you will:

• Assist with ensuring a livable environment
• Participate in the development, implementation, evaluation, and documentation of each individual's goals
• Provide therapeutic support and assist in Behavior Support Plans, if appropriate
• Transport individuals
• Medication Administration
• Assist individuals with Activities of Daily Living such as feeding, dressing, toileting, and other aspects of personal care, and nutritional needs

You are qualified if you have:
