Job summary

BAMSI is seeking a Residential Counselor for the MAP program in Hanson, MA. The role focuses on rehabilitative support, teaching daily living skills, and implementing treatment plans under clinician guidance.

You will supervise medications, transport residents, and advocate for resident needs while maintaining documentation and a safe living environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Mental health experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and mobility assistance.
• Strong communication in English; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide rehabilitative support to adults in Group Living Environments (GLE).
• Teach ADLs (cooking, budgeting, medication management) and social skills.
• Implement treatment plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer/supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and activities; advocate for their needs.
• Maintain a safe, clean home and complete timely documentation.
