Job summary

BAMSI in Brockton, MA is seeking a Residential Counselor MAP to support adults in group living environments, helping them develop daily living skills and integrate into the community.

Responsibilities include teaching ADLs, implementing treatment plans under clinician guidance, med administration supervision, and transporting residents to activities. Trauma-informed care and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; mental health experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and ability to assist with mobility.
• English communication skills essential; bilingual is a plus.

• Provide rehabilitative support to adults in Group Living Environments (GLE).
• Teach ADLs and socialization skills.
• Implement treatment plans and behavioral interventions under clinician guidance.
• Administer/supervise medications per MAP guidelines and document care.
• Transport residents to appointments and community activities.
• Advocate for residents’ needs and model healthy coping strategies.
• Maintain a safe, clean home environment and complete timely documentation.

Pay Range: $20 - $21.25

Schedule: (28 hours) Sun/Mon 3pm-11pm, Tues-Thurs 4pm-8pm

What You Bring:

• High school diploma/GED; mental health experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to assist with mobility (bending, standing, etc.).
• Strong communication skills (English) and basic computer proficiency.
• Compassion, patience, and a commitment to trauma-informed care.
• Bonus : Lived experience or multilingual abilities (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese).
