Job summary

Riverside Community Care in Norwood, MA is seeking a Residential Counselor to join a supportive team that helps individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities learn daily living skills, build relationships, and become active members of their communities. You will provide person-centered supports, supervise and coach residents, and encourage independence while maintaining safety.

The role offers a Monday-Thursday 8am-2pm schedule, an hourly rate of $20, and a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and basic computer skills required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain residents' physical and emotional health and live safely in the community.
• Foster relationships with housemates, family members, and neighbors.
• Develop and practice skills that increase independence, confidence, and self-determination.
