Job summary

Riverside Community Care in Medford, MA is seeking a Residential Counselor to join our Developmental and Cognitive Services team. You will support individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities to learn daily living skills, form relationships, and participate in community life.

As part of a supportive team, you’ll help residents maintain health, safety, and independence while encouraging growth and meaningful engagement in activities and employment opportunities.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to assist in the lifting of an adult person.

Responsibilities

• Maintain residents’ physical and emotional health and live safely in the community.
• Foster relationships with housemates, family members, and neighbors.
• Develop and practice skills that increase independence, confidence, and self-determination.
