Job summary

Riverside Community Care is seeking a Residential Counselor in Andover, MA, to support individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. You will provide person-centered supports, help residents learn daily living skills, and encourage independence and social participation in the community.

The role involves coaching, supervision, and companionship across 28 hours per week with a $20.00/hour pay rate.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to assist in lifting an adult person.
• High School Diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain residents' physical and emotional health and help them live safely in the community.
• Foster relationships with housemates, family members, and neighbors.
• Develop and practice skills that increase independence, confidence, and self-determination.
• Participate in community activities, work, and volunteer opportunities that reflect residents’ goals and interests.
