Job summary

Vinfen seeks a Residential Counselor to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in small-group residential settings. You will implement treatment plans, assist with activities of daily living, and help residents connect with their communities.

Responsibilities include providing direct care, administering medications under MAP, and collaborating with families and staff to enhance independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities and/or brain injury preferred.
• Ability to become CPR/First Aid certified and MAP certified within specified timelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group support to residents in a home setting.
• Teach skills to promote independence and quality of life.
• Assist with daily living activities and community integration.
• Provide transportation to outings and appointments as needed.
• Maintain records and document incidents, progress notes, and logs.
• Administer medications per MAP and coordinate with care staff.
