Job summary

NFI North in Bangor, ME is hiring for an Awake Overnight Residential Counselor at Summit View to help provide a safe, supportive environment for youth in care. You will supervise participants, intervene in crises, and assist with case management and advocacy to promote stability and growth.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or better, with preferred Bachelor’s in Human Services or related field; certifications like BHP, CRMA, and CPR/First Aid are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Associates degree in human services field preferred but not required.
• BHP, CRMA and First Aid/CPR certifications are a plus.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule on occasions when needed is also a plus.
• Education: High School or better required; Bachelor’s preferred in related field.

Residential Counselors are responsible for day to day operations including: maintaining a safe and supportive environment for participants, supervision of participants, crisis intervention, case management/advocacy and all related documentation.

Bachelors or Associates degree in human services field preferred but not required. BHP, CRMA and First Aid/CPR certifications are a plus. Ability to work a flexible schedule on occasions when needed is also a plus.
