Job summary

Justice Resource Institute is looking for a Residential Counselor to support adolescents in a residential treatment setting. The role offers three, four, or five day work weeks and pays $19.00 to $25.00 per hour, with potential overtime due to the care needs of the youth.

You will engage students in daily activities, promote a safe therapeutic environment, and help build essential life skills such as cooking and banking. A valid driver’s license and willingness to work varied shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Available to work evenings, holidays, and weekend shifts.
• Background and driving record checks will be performed.

Responsibilities

• Provide enriching daily activities for students (arts & crafts, recreation, offsite trips).
• Create a safe, therapeutic community by supporting students and modeling coping strategies.
• Help students develop life skills (cooking, banking, vocational skills) for future steps.
• Transport students as needed and ensure safety.

Pelham Academyis a residential treatment setting for adolescents that specializes intraumainformed care.Pelham provides 24-hour comprehensive care including a school on site, a full clinical staff, nursing staff, and direct care staff.

Multiple options for schedules to accommodate work life balance. Three, four and five day work weeks available.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $19.00 to $25.00 per hour. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.

Due to the nature of our work and the youth who are depending on us, there are times where overtime may be mandated.

Requirements

• Available to work evenings, holidays, weekend shifts as required.
