Job summary

Justice Resource Institute's Pelham Academy seeks an Assistant Residential Supervisor to lead residential care operations for adolescents, ensuring safety, supervision, and program integrity.

You will train and supervise Residential Counselors, support student well-being, and uphold Pelham Academy’s policies with a hands-on, on-site approach in a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• Must have supervisory experience in a mental health setting.
• Residential program or mental health facility experience required.
• Must be 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Ensure program safety and regulatory compliance on site, including rotating on-call coverage.
• Support the professional development and supervision of Residential Counselors.
• Support safety and well-being of students and staff; apply policies and procedures.
• Assist in staff/programming support within Pelham Academy’s Residential Department.

Pelham Academy is a residential treatment setting for adolescents that specializes intraumainformed care.Pelham provides 24-hour comprehensive care including a school on site, a full clinical staff, nursing staff, and direct care staff.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $21.00 to $27.00 per hour. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.

Due to the nature of our work and the youth who are depending on us, there are times where overtime may be mandated.

• YOU will be able to ensure program safety and compliance with safety and security procedure while on site, and also through rotating on call coverage
• YOU will support the professional development of Residential Counselors through training and supervision.
• YOU will be able to support all efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
• YOU will support staff and programming through your knowledge of the policies and procedures of the Pelham Academy’s Residential Department.

Requirements:

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Residential program or mental health facility experience required.
• Supervisory experience in Mental Health facility required.
• Maintains valid driver’s license as transporting students is required.
• Available to work evenings, holidays, weekend shifts as required.
• At JRI, you will learn to provide physical interventions and verbal de-escalations to provide the safest therapeutic atmosphere for our students!
• Background and driving record checkswill be performed.
