Job summary

Family Guidance Centers, Inc. is seeking an entry level patient support worker to process incoming patients and assist with client activities. The role includes inventory of clothing and supplies, monitoring medications, and relaying shift information. Schedule is Saturday through Wednesday nights, ASAP start, pay $17.00–$18.00 per hour.

DCFS clearance is required. The organization offers a benefits package including Health Insurance, Vision, Life Insurance, EAP and paid time off.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR and First Aid Certification required.
• Driver’s license and current insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Process incoming patients including basic orientation to program rules.
• Assist Case Manager/Counselor with client activities by implementing scheduled and/or requested activities.
• Inventory incoming and outgoing clothing and supplies for quantity and contraband checks.
• Obtain pertinent information from staff of previous shift and relay to next shift.
• Monitor self-administration of medications and document in SAMMS, MAR/PRN log.

· Process incoming patients including basic orientation to program rules.

· Inventory incoming and outgoing clothing and supplies of clientsfor quantity and specifically check for contraband items, inaccordance with proper safety procedures - including but not limitedto -emptying items into proper bin and never reaching into a client’sbag of articles.

· Obtain pertinent information from staff of previous shift toutilize during current shift and relay to next shift if appropriate.

· Monitor self-administration of medications by clients and documentin SAMMS, MAR/PRN log according to regulations.

Schedule: Saturday - Wednesday (11:00p - 7:30a)withflexibility to accommodate agency's need

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Rate: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
