Job summary

Carey Services in Indiana is seeking a dedicated Residential Coordinator to support two residential group homes and community living programs. This full-time role emphasizes compliance, scheduling, and person-centered planning.

You will onboard new hires, help schedule staff for medical appointments, document incidents, and collaborate across departments to maintain high-quality care. A passion for empowering individuals with disabilities is essential.

CPR/First Aid certification encouraged.

Qualifications

  • Must have a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, adequate automobile insurance, and meet agency insurability requirements.
  • Ability to learn basic principles of teaching; basic math and English writing knowledge.
  • Certification in CPR, First Aid, behavioral interventions, and medication administration (or ability to obtain upon hire).

Responsibilities

  • Representing the agency with full compliance, at applicable surveys and inspections.
  • Maintaining adherence to all regulatory requirements and ensure that procedures and policies are up to date and effectively implemented.
  • Providing direct support and programming for individuals per program regulations.
  • Maintaining information/data/documentation in each home setting for individual served per program regulations.
  • Working with the Quality Compliance Administrator to ensure compliance in new hire trainings and communicate progress to the applicable residential managers.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate completion of all required reports, including incident/accident reports, case notes, and program data.
  • Promoting agency-wide safety and housekeeping and proactive maintenance and delivery of quality service.
  • Training and assisting newly hired staff on the completion of CBTs for the individuals served they will be working with.
  • Providing for the health, safety and wellbeing of the individual served by knowing and protecting individual rights and following HIPAA guidelines.

  • Salary: Starting at$16.00/Hour
  • Location: See Below
  • Hours: Full-Time
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00AM-4:00PM with flexibility. (Friday shifts are required as well as 1 shift in the homes each week.)
Option A:

Residential Coordinator supporting both Upland and Hartford City Group Homes, based out of the Upland, IN Group Home.

Option B:

Residential Coordinator supporting two Community Living Managers in Marion, based out of Marion, IN office.

As a Residential Coordinator, you will play a key administrative role in Community Living. This includes assisting to onboard new hires (Direct Support Professionals), and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. You will assist with scheduling staff for medical appointments, provide direct support as needed, and assist in implementing Person-Centered Individualized Service Plans (PCISPs) tailored to each individual’s goals and needs. In this position, you will also respond to crises, ensure accurate and timely documentation of incidents and program data for your assigned caseloads, and collaborate with other departments to maintain the highest quality of care.

Ideal Experience, Background & Skills:
  • Experience with providing support to individuals and helping them determine the skills they need in their everyday lives and help them on their path to independence.
  • Experience in working with an accredited agency providing supports to individuals with disabilities
  • Organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to assess and address the immediate needs of individuals in crisis situations.
  • General knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet computer programs preferred.
  • Ability to manage one's own time and the time of others.
  • Ability to be adaptive and flexible.
  • Certification in CPR, First Aid, behavioral interventions, and medication administration (or ability to obtain upon hire).

Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Must have a high school diploma or GED; must must possess a valid driver’s license, adequate automobile insurance, and meet agency insurability requirements.
  • Knowledge: Must be able to learn (instruction provided) basic principles of teaching; must have good basic mathematical computation and English Language writing knowledge.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to walk, bend, stoop or stand for extended periods; must be able to assist in lifting or transferring individuals to and from wheelchairs; must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as but not limited to: gloves, masks, gowns, face shields, shoes, ear plugs, etc.
  • Safety and Compliance: Must be able to follow all required safe and universal precaution practices during a pandemic and as required otherwise; as required by specific job requirements must know first aid, health & safety measures or build an acceptable competence level by post-hire training.
