Job summary

Gillespie Recruitment is partnering with a respected Northeast law firm to recruit a Conveyancer Solicitor. Based in Sunderland, you will manage a large residential conveyancing caseload, delivering high-quality legal advice and ensuring client satisfaction while handling file setup, searches, and forms.

You will liaise with clients and third parties, work autonomously yet as part of a team, and act as the main contact in the Head of Department's absence.

Qualifications

• Proven qualification as a solicitor with post-qualification experience.
• Experience in residential conveyancing and client-facing work is essential.
• Ability to meet income targets and work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality legal advice and support in residential conveyancing.
• Assist with file setup, searches, contract drafting, enquiries, statements, SDLT applications, and Land Registry forms.
• Liaise with clients and third parties and manage file closure and archiving.
• Be the main point of contact for clients when the Head of Department is unavailable.
