Job summary

Jarrod Smart Construction, Co. in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to provide administrative support to our project managers across preconstruction through final completion.

You will manage calendars, draft communications, attend meetings, take minutes, and help prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is detail oriented, a self-starter, able to work independently and with a team, and comfortable balancing multiple priorities while maintaining

Qualifications

• Knowledge of construction processes preferred.
• Administrative experience.
• Excellent MS Office Suite knowledge.
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills, including the ability to multi-task.
• Ability to handle stress well.
• Ability to prioritize and make decisions with minimal supervision.
• Ability to act as gatekeeper and elevate relevant information to project managers as needed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the project managers by managing calendars and drafting emails.
• Attend client or trade partner meetings and take minutes.
• Help facilitate action items from meetings.
• Assist with deliverables to clients, vendors, and team members.
• Track outstanding items and follow up with team members.
• Assist with permit, inspection, warranty, and closeout documentation.
• Draft and maintain project schedules and document weather delays.
• Coordinate safety meetings and ensure follow-ups.
• Routinely assist with field team assignments and maintain master project schedule.
